Look To The Sky And Wonder - Apollo 14 50th Anniversary Ornament
Posted by Keith R Wahl, Made From RI on Jun 10th 2021
The space program has meant so much to me, to my life. I grew up watching Walter Cronkite for the first moon landings. I sat in front of a black and white television in Warwick, RI. Some of my young friends stopped watching as the program progressed. I did not. By Apollo 14, we had a color television and Walter Cronkite had grey hair. I was looking to the sky with wonder.
Apollo 14 was 50 years ago as we write this in 2021. This ornament commemorates this event. And the ornament is Rhode Island made, just like that little boy in front of the television.
