Posted by Keith R Wahl, Made From RI on Jun 21st 2021
The Second Continental Congress selected the Bald Eagle as the U. S. National Symbol on June 20, 1782. The Bald Eagle imagery was finalized by Secretary of Congress Charles Thomson. Design suggestions came from Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin.
Bald Eagles are unique to North America. Our Eagle, unique, strong and independent. Survivors. Majestic, bold, and faithful. They are a symbol of strength and determination.
