Free shipping is always a way to attract customers. But how often is it used in eCommerce to connect to and meet customers? This is something that we are doing at Made From RI.

We are offering to free shipping to Rhode Islanders. In the upcoming week, we are going to head out to Block Island to deliver an order to a Rhode Island customer. Delivered not just free but by us. In person. Face to face. So, if you are a Rhode Islander that has a billing and shipping address within the confines of the "401", shipping is on us. Gratis.

Now here is something that we should impart. Everyone pays shipping. Even if there is "Free Shipping", that shipping cost is "built-in" to the price. We take this into account for our many out-of-state customers. If you look at our pricing and add in the shipping, you will find that we are superior or competitive. We have personally checked this with a variety of browser plug-ins.
