Do you have indoor plants? My grandmother did. That was the "no-no" table. My cousin and I would come in and want to touch the plants (that's what small children do). That led to "no-no" from my grandmother. If the truth came out, we probably did it to hear her say it in her unique manner (finger shaking and all). 

As an adult, I would be glad to buy her this Rhode Island made Mobile Indoor Plant Stand. This way she could move her plants with the sun and keep them out of the way of little hands. And she would love the hardwood design in a traditional finish.
