What's In A Name? What 'Made From RI' Means

What's In A Name? No, we are not about to launch into a soliloquy by the Bard. This is about a question posed to us on social media. "Is it "'Made In RI' or 'Made From RI'"?
Well, the truth is that we own variations of the name for web name purposes. That's a technical issue and is all about redirects and typing errors.
But, to the point, we are "Made From RI". It is a reflection of the maritime traditions of Rhode Island. In the days of the start of the state, shipping to and from Rhode Island was shipping. There was smuggling too, yes, and that is why the "Gaspee Incident" occurred (but that's another story).
The legal aspect that a ship's master (captain) had to sign off on was a "Clean Bill of Lading". A Clean Bill of Lading would state where the cargo went to (the owner or agent) and "from", free of all encumbrances. For example, Narragansett Pacers (horses with a fascinating story) came from Rhode Island. Silver and other items were "made from..."
So we get the appellation "Made From RI". We source and make Rhode Island products made in Rhode Island (in their entirety) and ship them from us to you. And we ship wherever you might be.
